The turning point in my life was 30 days into The Healing Place. I was a product of eleven treatment centers, The Healing Place being my eleventh one. I had been in and out for many years and someone here gave me the humility to open up. I call it my moment of clarity. I was in OTS at the time and from that day forward, I have never stopped doing the process.
July 17, 2001 is my sobriety date and I came to The Healing Place August 1, 2001. I left The Healing Place in 2002 and got my CADC certification. In 2010, I moved to Campbellsville and have been the program director for The Healing Place campus there for the last four years, where I work with the 100 men on a daily basis. I’ve been working in the field for 12 years now, The Healing Place was probably the only place that was going to make me open up and see things. There’s my gratitude.
