Joe's Story

I was homeless, hopeless, and in an alcoholic blackout, but somehow I ended up at the The Healing Place. Today I know it was by God's grace and mercy that I landed there.

Today I consider my life a success even though I am not rich. I am a husband, a father, and a productive member of society. I am buying the home that I live in and I am active in my church.

I have a career today that I am very proud of. I am a Professional Truck Driver. That was a goal that I thought I would never achieve. Dreams do come true. On April 5, 2004 I celebrated 10 years of continued sobriety. I am an alumnus of The Healing Place. I still attend meetings and carry the message, "Keep Coming Back," because it actually works.
