To reach men and women suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, provide the tools for recovery, and restore productive lives.
To build on the success and growth of The Healing Place and be the most effective drug and alcohol recovery model. We seek to reach men and women suffering from the disease of addiction and offer barrier-free access to our program where lives are restored.
Where Change Happens
The Healing Place has grown into one of the most effective long-term social model recovery programs in the nation. A study conducted by the University of Kentucky Center on Drug and Alcohol Research finds that 75% of those who complete our program remain sober one year after they complete.
While statistics are great, it is important to remember that we are talking about people. Today, more than 5,000 men and women are living sober, productive lives and many have been reunited with their families because of our unique approach to recovery. The Healing Place model relies on the assistance and guidance of our alumni to supplement traditional approaches to recovery.
The Healing Place model has been replicated in 14 Recovery Kentucky facilities across the Commonwealth as well as in facilities located in Richmond, Virginia and Raleigh, North Carolina.
